May Half-Term Art Club — Japanese-Inspired Art Workshops

Ages: 5–11 Time: 10:00–12:00 Dates: 27–29 May 2026 Location: Buckler's Park Community Hub, Crowthorne

Join us for three days of playful, hands-on art inspired by Japanese aesthetics and traditions. Each morning includes step-by-step guidance, creative exploration, and all materials supplied. Limited spots available.

What we’ll be creating:

  • Beautiful Washi Dolls: Learn simple sewing and collage techniques to make charming washi-paper dolls set against soft watercolor backgrounds.

  • Yayoi Kusama–Inspired Pieces: Explore pattern, repetition, and bold color to create fun, colorful artworks influenced by the style of Yayoi Kusama.

  • Koinobori Carp Streamers: Make celebratory crafts for Children’s Day—decorative carp streamers to hang and take home.
